Based in Croydon, Surrey, we first showcased our cakes at the Croydon Food Festival in 2009 and 2010 and at various events around the country.Colette, our main decorator passed all her cake decorating exams at distinction level and now teaches a variety subjects within the world of sugarcraft from wired sugar flowers, royal icing and piping, to airbrushing and novelty cakes at three London colleges including Croydon Adult Learning and Training where she received her qualifications and a Certificate of Achievement in recognition of the high quality of workmanship and dedication.  Soon after that, she went to acquire a teaching qualification (phew!…).

Colette has entered and won placements at competitions including  ‘Flowers and Sugar’ Exhibition hosted by the National Sugar Art Association at the Bromley Civic Centre in Kent in 2010 where she was awarded second place in the Eileen Swann Memorial Trophy section.  She also entered the prestigious Cake International Exhibition at the London Excel Centre in 2012 as a college entry obtaining second place in the College Group and Display section and in April 2013 was awarded Silver as a solo entrant for the Decorated Celebration Cake category.

Colette’s cake decorating skills have been picked up internationally.  Her work was selected to appear in the prestigious Pasticceria Internazionale magazine, a privilege reserved  for Cordon Bleu chefs, Master Chefs and industry professionals. (see image right )
